About

What To Expect at Oley Valley Mennonite Church

Worship services are casual at Oley Valley Mennonite Church. Our services start with music, often gospel or contemporary songs or familiar hymns. Our pastor preaches a Bible-based message with practical application to help you live out your faith during the week.  There is opportunity to share praises and prayer requests following the sermon.  Services are usually about an hour, and then you are welcome to visit with people afterwards.  Sunday services begin at 10:30 a.m.  We are located at 1571 Memorial Highway (along Rt. 662), Oley, PA.

Please accept this as our personal invitation for you to stop by and visit with us. We would consider it an honor to meet you and to worship the Lord Jesus Christ together.

Our Mission at Oley Valley Mennonite Church

As an Anabaptist-Mennonite faith community, we encourage our members to be the hands and feet of Jesus both in our local neighborhoods and world-wide.  Our ministries include:

Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) - a volunteer network of churches, responding to disasters in the U.S. and Canada by helping to clean up, repair, and rebuild homes while encouraging hope and faith.

Operation Christmas Child - partnering with Samaritan's Purse who distributes Christmas Shoeboxes, filled by churches to children in need throughout the world.

Oley Valley Food Pantry -  local churches working together to provide food to those in need in the Oley Valley community.

New Person Ministries - a Christ-centered ministry, working with men returning to society from incarceration.

Hope Rescue Mission - provides for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the homeless men of Berks County.

Lighthouse Women and Children's Shelter provides for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the homeless women of Berks County.

Blessed Beginnings is a Christian non-profit that fills laundry baskets full of household necessities and provides them for individuals that are starting over after abuse.

Life's Choices - a faith based pregnancy center that promotes life and provides services to women and their families in need.

Our Beliefs

We believe in the core values of historic Anabaptists and Mennonites with a Christ-centered faith that is Bible-based.  Oley Valley Mennonite Church affirms these values, including believer's baptism, seeking to live out the teachings of Jesus daily in life, following Jesus' way of nonviolence and peacemaking, and serving in missions locally and throughout the world.

We affirm the Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective (1995).  Through Mennonite World Conference (https://mwc-cmm.org), we share in the fellowship of Anabaptist Mennonite churches throughout the globe.
